The OYT manifesto

You own your truck. You own your tools. Why are you renting your software?

Every other tool in your business is a one-time purchase. Your truck. Your trailer. Your impact driver. Your saws. Your meters. You buy them, you maintain them, you keep working.

Software is the only thing the industry has convinced you must be rented forever.

The model is the problem

The big field-service platforms — Jobber®, ServiceTitan®, Housecall Pro® — aren’t priced to the cost of running the software. They’re priced to maximize lifetime value per customer. That’s not a moral failing of any one company. It’s the model. Venture-backed SaaS has to grow recurring revenue or it dies. So every quarter the price goes up, every release adds a new tier, every "essential" feature lives behind the next plan, and every extra tech on the truck is another per-user fee.

You don’t pay rent on your truck. You shouldn’t pay rent on your scheduling software either.

What we believe

  • Buy the license once. Own it. The founding price is $490, paid once, for the first 25 shops; after them the license is $700. That license covers up to 10 seats and does not renew. Your license price is your license price. We don’t come back in year three with a new plan and a higher number.
  • Hosting is a cost, not a product. Year 1 hosting is included. Beginning in year two there is an annual platform fee — hosting, security, updates — capped at $99 USD a year for the life of the license. (Or until we can drop the fee entirely, which is our goal.) If you ever stop paying the fee, you keep using everything you have. Your records stay. Bug and security fixes still reach you; only new features wait for the fee. You never buy the license again.
  • Your data is yours. Download all your records, anytime, in one click. We don’t hold your customer list hostage to keep you paying.
  • We don’t take a cut of your money. Your customers pay you through the client portal. Stripe’s processing fee is theirs and ours is zero.
  • The whole stack, in one purchase. Scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, CRM, payments, mileage, inventory. Not five different subscriptions stitched together. One app. One license.
  • Independent, not venture-backed. No board steering the roadmap toward the next valuation event. Built for contractors.
  • No ads. No sponsors. No data deals. You are the customer, not the product.

Who this is for

Independent tradesmen and small crews who’d rather buy the tool than rent it. Owner-operators. Two-to-ten-person shops. People who already think this way about every other piece of equipment they own. People who’ve run the math on a decade of Jobber® and didn’t like the number.

If that’s you, you’re in the right place.

Who this isn’t for

Hundred-truck enterprises with dedicated IT staff who need SAML, a dedicated CSM, and a contract negotiation cycle. We don’t compete in that lane. ServiceTitan® does it well. Go pay them.

For everyone else — the contractor running jobs out of the truck and the books off a phone — the math is different. The model should be different too.

The promise

Buy the license once. Own it. Keep working.

Stop renting. Start owning.
$490 buys the license. First year of hosting included, then at most $99 a year.
